Role Overview

Senior Analytics Engineer (remote in the US)

As a Senior Analytics Engineer at Outreach, you will drive the success of Analytics and Operational programs by producing, documenting, and curating certified data sources and models. You will help transform ELT pipelines into trusted datasets that analysts and self-service data champions can use to answer business questions.

Responsibilities

• Model and document new datasets (structured and semi-structured) to support multiple business units
• Partner with subject matter experts to document, align, and automate business metrics that define success
• Work with analysts to optimize data usage via query reviews, modeling exercises, and dashboard audits
• Own the design, monitoring, and deployment of certified data sources on reporting platforms and warehouses
• Maintain the highest standards for data reproducibility, auditability, and compliance
• Serve as a data strategy subject matter expert across the business
• Enable non-BI&A stakeholders to adopt data as part of day-to-day decision-making
• Act as the “T” in ELT: Extract-Load-Transform into analytics-ready models from Data Engineering pipelines

Requirements

• Clear communication skills for audiences ranging from analysts to senior executives
• Expert SQL (preferred: Postgres/Snowflake)
• Experience working with or as a Business Analyst
• Track record of proactive communication and documentation that enables self-service learning

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Outreach’s stack: Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Tableau, and experience with query/data pipeline optimization
• Knowledge of ML pipelines (e.g., SageMaker)
• Multi-dimensional data modeling experience
• Spark ecosystem experience (e.g., Delta Lake, Databricks)
• Experience with data modeling, schema design, and data quality best practices on cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake/Databricks)
