Senior Analytics Engineer (Remote)

Location: United States (Remote) Salary: $150–170k base

Role overview

Own critical analytics data foundations that power the business. You’ll sit at the intersection of data engineering and analytics—designing dimensional models, building dbt transformations, and ensuring analytics reliability and governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and build dimensional data models in Snowflake for company-wide analytics
• Develop and optimize dbt models to transform raw sources into clean, trusted datasets
• Partner with analysts and business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into scalable data solutions
• Implement data quality checks and take ownership of analytics dataset reliability
• Contribute to data governance, including:
  • PII handling
  • Metadata management
  • Documentation
• Support strategic analytics across:
  • customer journeys
  • revenue metrics
  • product usage
• Mentor junior team members and champion best practices

What you’ll work with

• Modern data stack: Snowflake + dbt + Monte Carlo
• Data sources: Salesforce, HubSpot, Recurly, and core product databases
• Direction: evolving toward an AI-enabled, domain-oriented data organization

Requirements

• 5+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar data-focused roles
• Expert SQL (complex queries, CTEs, window functions)
• Strong, hands-on dbt experience
• Snowflake (or equivalent warehouse such as BigQuery/Redshift)
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehouse design patterns
• SaaS metrics experience (MRR, churn, CLV, etc.)
• Python for data work or automation
• Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow / MWAA)
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating cross-functionally

Nice to have

• Reverse ETL tools (e.g., Hightouch)
• BI tools (Hex preferred)
• Exposure to data mesh / domain-oriented architecture concepts
