Senior Analytics Engineer, GFCO Analytics

Role Overview

Join Coinbase’s GFCO Analytics Engineering team to build the data foundations that power customer experience (CX) and compliance operations. You’ll own end-to-end data pipelines, develop trusted metrics, and help CX stakeholders make faster, better decisions with clean, reliable data.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data models and pipelines for CX operations, compliance reporting, and customer insights (accurate, timely, well-documented).
• Partner with CX Operations, Compliance, and Product teams to translate business needs into data requirements and deliver self-serve analytics.
• Build and maintain dashboards, metrics, and reporting for CX performance, customer trends, and compliance health.
• Improve data quality and governance via testing, monitoring, and documentation standards.
• Automate recurring workflows and reporting to shift from reactive requests to scalable self-serve solutions.
• Collaborate with other Data Engineering/Analytics teams to align on best practices and contribute to the overall data infrastructure.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related role.
• SQL and hands-on experience building/maintaining data pipelines and models.
• Experience with modern data stack tools: dbt, Airflow, and cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or Databricks.
• Data modeling concepts including dimensional modeling and star/snowflake schemas; ability to build trusted, well-documented data products.
• BI/visualization tooling experience: Looker, Tableau, or similar; building dashboards and self-serve analytics.
• Ability to partner with non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions (CX/operations/compliance).
• Use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
