About the role

Role Overview

Join Cosuno’s Data team as a Senior Analytics Engineer. You will own the systems that transform raw data into actionable insights, from dbt modeling and Looker analytics to data pipeline orchestration between Postgres and BigQuery.

Key Missions

Own the dbt pipeline: take responsibility for dbt processes and improve models to be reliable, well-tested, and easier to develop.
Maintain and extend Looker: manage the Looker setup and deliver new dashboards and reports for clients and other stakeholders.
Strengthen data pipelines: improve the pipeline from Postgres to BigQuery.
Automation with Python: write custom Python scripts to automate data flows and keep the data warehouse up to date.
DevOps mindset & collaboration: work transparently with the team and continuously improve pipeline reliability.
Use AI tools fluently: expect team members to use AI coding tools as part of their daily workflow.

Requirements

Strong Python skills for data syncing, automation, and general scripting.
Hands-on AI coding tools experience, especially Claude Code, used in daily work.
Experience building dashboards and serving data to non-technical stakeholders; strong Looker experience is a plus.
Hands-on experience with a cloud data warehouse, specifically BigQuery.
Comfort working with source databases such as Postgres.
Pragmatic problem-solving with a strong ownership mindset; can drive projects independently.
Excellent communication in English.
Experienced analytics practitioner who enjoys owning the full stack of an analytics platform.

Nice-to-haves

Significant experience with dbt for data modeling and advanced SQL.
Experience preparing data and reporting for external audiences (e.g., customers, investors).
Interest in data engineering best practices such as pipeline reliability and Infrastructure-as-Code.
Experience with CI/CD and automation pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
Experience with reverse ETL or integrating warehouses with tools like ActiveCampaign or Salesforce.

Work Style / Location

Full remote (listed with Berlin, DE) or option to work from the Berlin office.
Flexible working hours and regular team events.
