About the role

Role Overview

Join Chip as a Senior AI QA Engineer responsible for the quality strategy of the Wealth Management business line. You’ll drive test automation, performance testing, and shift-left quality practices while partnering with product, engineering, and stakeholders.

Key Missions

Own the Quality Strategy: define and execute the test strategy for every new product/feature across Wealth Management.
Drive Automation Where It Matters: build and maintain automation frameworks for microservices, APIs, and end-to-end flows.
Lead Performance Testing: own performance testing end to end—design load profiles, script scenarios, analyze results, and work with engineering to fix issues.

Requirements

Strong communication and presence: actively participate in agile ceremonies and cross-team discussions.
CI/CD fluency: integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines and keep builds green with fast feedback.
AWS experience (preferred).
Deep programming ability (prefer TypeScript; other languages acceptable if fundamentals are strong).
Experience owning QA for complex, modern systems: 7+ years in QA with a track record beyond executing others’ test plans.
Monitoring & observability: proactive use of tools such as Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch, or similar.
Automation for microservices: experience with contract testing, API testing, and maintaining fast/reliable suites.
Performance/load testing: hands-on with K6 (or equivalent: Gatling, Locust, JMeter), including realistic load modeling and meaningful result interpretation.

Nice-to-Haves (AI/ML QA)

Testing agentic AI systems, LLM-powered features, or recommendation engines with probabilistic outputs.
Evaluating outputs for accuracy, safety, bias, and hallucination.
Validation strategies for non-deterministic behavior (quality scoring, assurance/guardrails, regression tolerant to acceptable variance).

Additional Preferences

Experience in fintech/wealth management/regulated financial services.
Participation in quality or engineering communities.
Mentoring juniors and driving testing best practices.
Strong ownership mindset: proactive gap-finding and quality enabling rather than gatekeeping.
