About the role

Role overview

Red Hat North America Technology Sales is looking for a Senior AI Platform Specialist Solution Architect (SSA) to provide deep technical sales support for AI Go-To-Market (GTM) execution across North America. You will help remove adoption blockers in key accounts and become the preferred AI platform by enabling customers to train, build, and manage applications powered by their proprietary data.

Key responsibilities

Partner with Account Executive, Sales Specialist, and Solution Architect to identify customer challenges and adoption blockers for Red Hat AI
Plan, design, and execute AI system solutions, including architecture and build-out of:
- Data pipelines
- ML pipelines
- ML training and serving approaches
Support pre- and post-sales activities such as deep dives, proofs of concept, “bake-offs,” internal sprints/hackathons, and partner vertical-specific AI solutions
Identify and collaborate with AI stakeholders, advocating across line-of-business and internal customer teams
Work with AI business unit and engineering to provide a market feedback loop on products and solutions
Deliver customer-facing technical architecture walkthroughs, business-value discussions, technical workshops, and AI systems best practices
Collaborate with sales, Customer Success, Consulting Services, and partners to ensure a positive customer experience
Drive customer advocacy through community outreach (e.g., conference speaking, blog posts)

What you will bring (requirements)

SME with 4+ years hands-on experience in one or more of:
- Machine Learning use case development
  - Building AI applications (e.g., deep learning, LLM/RAG, NLP, computer vision, pattern recognition)
  - Statistical programming with Python
  - Applied ML techniques using open-source frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) / AI systems design
  - Architecting and explaining data pipelines, ML pipelines, and training/serving approaches
  - Experience with CI/CD for MLOps/LLMOps and automation with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., Ansible)
Ability to deliver technical presentations and lead business-value sessions
Executive presence and strong public speaking skills

Nice to have

Computer Science (or similar) degree
Experience as a sales engineer/technical sales/technical sales support (enterprise software, SaaS, or Systems Integrator)
Experience as an implementation consultant for AI solutions
Industry vertical experience with Data Science projects (e.g., FSI, medical, defense, intelligence)
Community brand (e.g., volunteer tech communities, AI User Group, open-source contributions)
