About the role

Role Overview

Senior AI Platform Engineer responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining the agentic software execution layer within Lirio’s Precision Nudging Platform. The role bridges MLOps and autonomous AI orchestration to enable secure, reliable workflows for AI agents.

Responsibilities

  • Agent orchestration & workflow design

    • Design and implement infrastructure for LLM-based autonomous agents with multi-step reasoning, planning, and task execution.
    • Build and manage directed workflows using state machines and tools for AI–human handoffs.
    • Architect and implement interoperability standards for communication between autonomous agents and diverse software ecosystems.
  • AI infrastructure & lifecycle

    • Architect and maintain cloud-native platforms for end-to-end AI workflows (from experimentation to production deployment).
    • Develop evaluation frameworks and observability dashboards to monitor agent accuracy, latency, cost, and safety guardrails.
    • Optimize agent performance via tool discovery and context window efficiency using standardized protocols.
  • Governance, compliance & security

    • Embed healthcare compliance (e.g., HIPAA) using automated guardrails and audit trails.
    • Implement protections against prompt injection and ensure PII/PHI de-identification in agentic data flows.
    • Provide secure authentication, role-based access controls (RBAC), and data masking for safe interoperability layers.
  • Engineering support & technical leadership

    • Provide SME support to engineering teams; build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate designs.
    • Evaluate existing systems and propose improvements/replacements.
    • Document designs, implementations, and best practices.
  • Cross-functional collaboration

    • Contribute to Lirio’s Architecture Team and work with platform, cloud, security, and ML research engineers and system architects.

Requirements

  • Experience bridging MLOps with autonomous AI orchestration.
  • Ability to design agent workflows (including multi-step planning/execution) with secure and reliable execution.
  • Strong focus on governance, security, and healthcare compliance (including HIPAA concepts).

Nice-to-haves (implicit from description)

  • Familiarity with interoperability across heterogeneous software ecosystems.
  • Experience building observability/evaluation systems for LLM/agent performance and safety.
