Senior AI Engineer - UK remote

Role Overview

Join hyperexponential as a Senior AI Engineer to design and deliver complex product features and build AI-native development workflows. You’ll collaborate with product, design, and customers to shape what gets built.

Key Missions

• Deliver complex product epics at 3–5x the baseline team velocity while maintaining high-quality functionality and protecting system integrity.
• Architect AI-assisted guardrails across the SDLC, including:
  • autonomous testing pipelines
  • AI-driven security reviews
  • automated code-quality agents that support stability during rapid iteration
• Use AI tools to map dependencies and navigate the hx codebase, enabling cross-domain improvements without relying on traditional ownership boundaries.

Requirements

• Senior-level ability to design and deliver complex product features at high throughput.
• Experience building safety/quality guardrails across the SDLC (testing, security review, code quality).
• Strong capability to work effectively across unfamiliar parts of a codebase using tooling and rigorous engineering practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience integrating AI into engineering workflows (AI-assisted development, autonomous testing, automated reviews).
