Senior AI Engineer - Founding Team

Role Overview

Senior AI Engineer (Founding Team) for an early-stage AI startup building an agentic AI operating system for advertising and marketing. This is a remote (US) role with NYC preferred, joining a ~30-person team working closely with founders and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy production-grade AI features from concept through launch.
• Design and develop agentic AI workflows, orchestration frameworks, and intelligent automation systems.
• Create AI-powered applications to address complex advertising and marketing challenges.
• Optimize model performance, latency, reliability, and operational costs in production.
• Collaborate with Product and Customer Success to validate business impact and customer outcomes.
• Own features end-to-end: architecture → development → deployment → ongoing optimization.
• Contribute to platform architecture, engineering standards, and technical best practices.
• Help shape the long-term direction of AI infrastructure and product strategy.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background with experience shipping production AI applications.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-powered applications in production.
• Experience designing and implementing agentic AI systems and workflow orchestration.
• Proficiency with LangChain or comparable orchestration technologies.
• Demonstrated experience owning customer-facing products through deployment.
• Solid fundamentals: application architecture, testing, and scalability.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup with high ownership and ambiguity.
• Product-oriented mindset focused on measurable outcomes.
• Ability to work across the stack and contribute where needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-agent systems and advanced orchestration architectures.
• Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Experience with AI evaluation/testing frameworks.
• Prompt engineering expertise.
• Background in marketing/advertising technology.
• Experience with MLOps/LLMOps and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Exposure to vector databases and large-scale AI platform architectures.
