Senior AI Engineer

Role Overview

Join Affinity as a Senior AI Engineer to design and build LLM-powered AI systems that uncover insights from business interaction data. You’ll work across information extraction, storage, and retrieval, and help deliver high-scale, production-grade solutions.

Key Missions / Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build LLM-powered AI systems for insights from business interaction data.
• Architect, prototype, and deploy RAG pipelines, including:
  • Vector search
  • Hybrid retrieval
  • Reranking
  • Contextual compression
• Tackle information extraction, storage, and retrieval challenges across structured and unstructured data.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering and/or machine learning applied in production.
• Hands-on experience with model evaluation metrics, e.g.:
  • Perplexity
  • Hallucination rate
  • Factual consistency
• Experience with vector and/or graph databases.
• Experience with LLM-assisted search, including:
  • Query understanding and augmentation
  • Text2SQL
  • Entity extraction
• Familiarity with metadata-based retrieval and re-ranking strategies.
• Hands-on experience building LLM applications in production, including:
  • Prompt engineering
  • Online and offline evaluation using frameworks
• Familiarity with data security, versioning, and MLOps principles.
• Experience with document chunking, embedding models, and context window optimization.
• Experience with packaging, CI/CD, and pipeline automation.

• Agent-based AI applications in production.
• Multimodal search.
• Graph-based recommendation systems (e.g., graph neural networks).
• Dataset engineering (curation, augmentation, synthesis).
• Experience with enterprise AI under strict compliance/audit/legal constraints.
