About the role
Role Overview
Core4ce is seeking a Senior Agilist to support the Integrated Healthcare Transformation (IHT) initiative. The role provides high-level Agile consulting and execution for large-scale adoption of Agile practices, with a primary focus on SAFe.
Responsibilities
- Provide experienced consultation for large-scale Agile implementations, primarily Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Coach and mentor Agile Release Trains (ARTs), Scrum-of-Scrums, and teams to improve delivery performance and predictability
- Facilitate key SAFe events, including:
- PI Planning
- System Demos
- Inspect & Adapt workshops
- Partner with Product Management, System Architects, and Release Train Engineers (RTEs) to refine backlogs and optimize flow of value
- Conduct organizational Agile maturity assessments and recommend actionable process and cultural improvements
- Deliver SAFe-certified training and custom workshops to government stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Establish and analyze Agile metrics (e.g., Velocity, Burn-down, Throughput, Flow) to provide data-driven insights
- Identify and mitigate systemic bottlenecks and organizational impediments to improve delivery lifecycle
- Support Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) to translate strategic themes into executable epics and features
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, psychological safety, and technical excellence
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field
- 7+ years leading Agile and SAFe implementations in medium to large-scale organizations
- Certified SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) certification is required
- Proven success with large-scale Agile transformations, including launching and maturing Agile Release Trains
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and XP applied at scale
- Expert-level coaching experience for both technical teams and business stakeholders
- Strong communication, presentation, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to translate complex Agile concepts into practical guidance for diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting healthcare/healthcare technology environments (e.g., VHA, DHA, or commercial health systems)
- Experience with Agile lifecycle management tools such as Jira/Align, Azure DevOps (ADO), or Rally
- Knowledge of DevSecOps principles in a SAFe environment
- Prior experience supporting federal government contracts and understanding compliance/governance
