Senior Accountant

Role Overview

Senior Accountant in the Sensiba Consulting Practice, supporting the delivery lifecycle for Early Stage, Start-Up Accounting engagements.

Responsibilities

Client delivery & enablement

• Onboard new clients.
• Provide direct accounting services, guiding management to best-practice accounting and reporting processes.
• Help establish systems, processes, and procedures to execute periodic accounting close with reporting.
• Support contract management and revenue recognition processes using an Excel model or pre-selected SaaS contract software solutions.

Discovery, qualification, and solutions

• Participate in qualification calls/meetings to gather preliminary information and document prospect fit.
• Support discovery sessions and document outcomes to inform proposals.
• Match client requirements to Sensiba solutions across the solution architecture stage.
• Support proposal development and participate in proposal presentations.
• Assist with drafting services Statements of Work (SOWs).

Internal collaboration & process improvement

• Support improvements to the process and technology stack used to serve clients.
• Assist with training and supporting staff assigned to CAS Tech Start-Ups.
• Provide timely status updates to performance managers and project leadership.
• Accurately track time in the time tracking system and work toward utilization targets.
• Identify and communicate potential additional business opportunities for prospects and existing clients.
• Maintain client satisfaction ratings aligned with firm standards.
• Assist with training, developing, and mentoring assigned staff.
• Use AI-driven solutions to automate routine tasks, optimize workflows, and drive continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required (accounting or finance preferred).
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in professional services or a corporate accounting environment.
• Strong client-facing internal/external communication skills.
• Experience following process-based methodologies throughout project delivery.
• Strong understanding of SaaS revenue recognition.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Ability to work remotely and independently or as part of a team; organized, analytical, and deadline-driven.
