Senior Accountant (Revenue)

Role Overview

Join Apollo.io as a Senior Accountant (Revenue), an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Accounting. You will own revenue accounting and revenue recognition under ASC 606, partnering with cross-functional teams and working with complex revenue datasets.

Key Missions

• Support month-end revenue close: prepare revenue-related journal entries and perform reconciliations.
• Review customer contracts: identify performance obligations, determine transaction price, and evaluate allocation and recognition timing under ASC 606.
• Analyze revenue data: run SQL queries to extract and analyze revenue data from the Snowflake data warehouse to support reconciliations, variance analysis, and ad hoc investigations.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with a meaningful focus on revenue accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of ASC 606, including contract review.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field).
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally (e.g., Billings, Legal, Rev Ops).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to investigate details and communicate findings clearly.
• Experience handling high transaction volumes and navigating ambiguous or messy data.
• CPA certification or active candidacy.
• NetSuite proficiency.
• SQL proficiency for querying large datasets.
• Familiarity with Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouses).

• Big 4 or public accounting experience with revenue-focused clients.
