Senior Accountant

Role Overview

Senior Accountant reporting to the Controller. This is a hands-on role responsible for end-to-end accounting operations across the U.S. and UK, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and clear financial insights.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including vendor invoices, collections, and customer account reconciliations
• Maintain the General Ledger with accurate journal entries, proper account coding, and ongoing reconciliations
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and support cash management tasks
• Own the full monthly close process, including accrual adjustments and variance analysis
• Prepare timely financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for internal stakeholders
• Lead quarterly and annual close processes; coordinate with auditors and maintain audit-ready documentation
• Handle multi-state sales tax reporting, filings, and registrations
• Ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal financial controls, including support for payroll tax and corporate tax preparation
• Work across QuickBooks and NetSuite to ensure data integrity and system configuration
• Identify process bottlenecks and recommend automation/system improvements
• Partner with Sales, Operations, and FP&A to provide timely financial data for business decisions

Requirements

• B.A./B.S. in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CMA or bookkeeping certification is a plus
• 5–7 years of full-cycle accounting experience (AP, AR, GL, close, reporting)
• Proficiency with QuickBooks; NetSuite experience preferred (also mentions Ramp/other cloud systems)
• Experience in a technology/SaaS/startup environment with rapidly changing needs
• Hands-on experience using AI-driven tools to streamline accounting workflows and automate reconciliations/reporting
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis)
• Ability to support multi-entity/international accounting (U.S./UK)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy/compliance
• Good written and verbal communication skills
