Role Overview

Senior Accountant (Remote) at Engine Room. You will perform a broad set of accounting functions for multiple clients and help support the firm’s growth through accurate, timely client deliverables.

Responsibilities

Review your own work for completeness and accuracy
Process payroll and maintain payroll records
On-board and off-board clients’ employees
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
Maintain fixed asset records
Support business compliance reporting, including schedules for sales and business tax returns
Prepare schedules to support audits
Research and resolve basic accounting issues
Perform other month-end close and related duties as needed

Requirements

Significant experience in life sciences accounting
Fluent in NetSuite and Bill.com
Excellent at solving complex accounting problems
Strong communication skills with both team members and clients (written and verbal)
Collaborative, time-management focused, and able to deliver client work on budget

Nice-to-haves

Experience with Expensify, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and FloQast
