Senior Accountant

Role Overview

Join Qventus as a Senior Accountant. You will own complex accounting activities, drive the month-end close, and partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate ledgers, reporting, and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own complex accounting functions and run the month-end close process
• Maintain the general ledger
• Lead balance sheet account posting and monthly reconciliation, including:
  • Banking, Fixed Assets, Prepaids
  • Accrued Compensation, Accrued Payables
  • Deferred Revenue, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable
  • Allocations and Equity
• Prepare revenue journal entries
• Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages (including financial flux analysis and debt compliance)
• Oversee full-cycle AP, manage vendor inquiries, and ensure process accuracy
• Ensure compliance with sales and use tax regulations
• Support external audits and prepare required PBC schedules

Requirements

• 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/Index Match, financial modeling)
• Deep GAAP knowledge, including:
  • ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 350-40
• Demonstrated ownership of AP, AR, and general ledger accounting
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and ability to translate data into insights
• Excellent written/verbal communication, including presenting to management
• Ability to work independently and thrive in ambiguity
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Nice to Have

• CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification
• Experience with Bill.com (BILL) and Ramp (or similar expense management)
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct (or comparable ERP)
• Experience supporting audits in a high-growth SaaS or healthcare technology environment
• Track record of process optimization / continuous improvement
