Senior Accountant

Role Overview

GlyMed Plus is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its fully remote finance team. The role provides hands-on ownership of month-end/year-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvements as the company grows in a fast-moving consumer products environment.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and year-end close (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations)
• Prepare financial statements and internal management reports
• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts
• Manage and review Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support inventory accounting, cost of goods analysis, and margin reporting
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ensure GAAP, sales tax, and other applicable regulatory compliance
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors (schedules and documentation)
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, systems, and internal controls
• Support eCommerce and multi-channel revenue reconciliation across wholesale, direct-to-consumer, and REGEN Retail

Requirements

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience (senior/staff accountant level)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
• Experience with accounting/ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar
• Solid understanding of inventory and cost accounting in a product-based business
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
• High attention to detail and strong analytical/organizational skills
• Ability to manage deadlines independently in a remote setting
• Clear written and verbal communication

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in consumer products/personal care/beauty/cosmetics
• Familiarity with eCommerce, direct-to-consumer, or wholesale distribution accounting
• Exposure to multi-channel revenue reconciliation and sales tax compliance across multiple states
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
• CPA or active CPA candidate
