Role Overview

Senior Accountant (Contract, 6–9 Months) — Remote (East Coast, US)

Coravin is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support a full-time temporary maternity leave coverage for approximately 6–9 months. The role focuses on transactional and reporting senior accounting work across a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and file VAT/GST reporting and reconciliations across applicable legal entities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to local requirements and deadlines.
Lead weekly meetings with the Sales team to review Accounts Receivable (AR) status and progress.
Analyze AR items surfaced in Sales meetings and create follow-up action plans to drive resolution.
Manage wholesale AR: monitor account status, coordinate collections activity, and resolve disputes/discrepancies.
Maintain accurate customer account records and supporting documentation for audit and compliance.
Process payroll for US, Netherlands, UK, and Australia, ensuring local accuracy and deadlines.
Support month-end close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and other required close tasks.

Requirements

3+ years of accounting experience, with direct exposure to AR and/or indirect tax (VAT/GST) reporting.
Experience processing payroll, ideally across multiple countries/regions.
Strong preference for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O); other major ERP experience is acceptable.
Experience in multi-entity and/or multi-currency environments is a plus.
Strong analytical skills; able to turn data into clear, actionable follow-up plans.
Comfortable presenting AR status and analysis to Sales stakeholders.
Excellent organization, attention to detail, and clear written/verbal communication.
Proficiency in Excel and comfort with financial systems and reporting tools.
US GAAP experience is a plus.
