Role Overview

Senior Accountant (Fully Remote, U.S.-based)

You will own core accounting responsibilities, support the close process, and help improve accounting processes and systems in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules
• Analyze balance sheet and operational accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with lease accounting and reporting requirements under ASC 842
• Partner with leadership on financial reporting, variance analysis, and business insights
• Support external audits and maintain documentation and internal controls
• Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and ERP enhancements
• Collaborate cross-functionally on system and workflow optimization projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong experience with month-end close and general accounting
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP
• Lease accounting experience (ASC 842)
• Experience working within ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• CPA or CPA-eligible preferred

Nice to Have

• Experience in multi-entity or high-growth environments
• Exposure to system implementations or process transformation initiatives
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Oracle NetSuite experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Agile or cross-functional project work
• Experience with AP automation or workflow improvement initiatives

Compensation & Location

• $85K to $95K plus bonus
• Fully remote, U.S.-based (DC, MD, VA preferred)
