Senior Accountant

Role Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in building and supporting the company’s finance function. Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll own day-to-day accounting operations while helping develop scalable financial processes in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury, and related activities
• Support the monthly close: accurate and timely financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support organizational growth
• Partner with leadership on financial analysis, budgeting support, and business insights
• Perform account analysis, variance reporting, and financial modeling to support strategic decisions
• Coordinate tax compliance, insurance administration, and other regulatory reporting requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve processes by automating workflows and shortening the close timeline
• Support implementation/optimization of financial systems to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency
• Assist with audits and other special finance projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting principles
• Experience managing the full accounting cycle (month-end close and financial reporting)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities

Nice-to-Haves

• Background in SaaS/subscription-based business models and metrics such as ARR, CAC, LTV, and churn
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite or QuickBooks
• Experience building or improving accounting processes in a growing organization

• Remote, but you must be in the Raleigh metro area
