About the role
Role Overview
Senior Accountant within the Controllership team (Finance), reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting. You will own Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounting for OPEX areas, and lead month-end close and AP processes.
Responsibilities
- Support month-end and year-end close (OPEX accruals, prepaid schedules, expense allocations, payroll journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations).
- Own Accounts Payable end-to-end, including:
- Vendor setup
- Purchase order issuance
- Invoice matching
- Invoice processing
- Weekly AP payment cycles
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Treasury, FP&A, Legal, Marketing, Compliance, People) to ensure complete and accurate books/records.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and providing explanations.
- Assist with developing and maintaining accounting policies and internal controls.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and reports, including flux analysis.
- Develop and maintain accounting workpapers to support reporting and process automation.
- Handle one-off/ad-hoc payments requiring judgment and discretion.
- Review GL coding for T&E and credit card transactions and ensure supporting documentation is attached.
- Participate in projects and respond to ad-hoc financial requests.
Requirements / Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- CPA license preferred.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Crypto accounting experience is a plus.
- Strong, detail-oriented, data-intensive reconciliation skills.
- Advanced/strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with Mac OS X, GSuite, and ERP (Netsuite preferred).
