Senior Accountant

Role Overview

Senior Accountant at Attivo Partners. You will own critical accounting and reporting tasks to help scale the accounting function and support rapid company/client growth. The role is a work-from-home position with preferred locations in major US startup markets and includes limited travel for in-person events.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting across AP, AR, cash management, payroll, fixed assets (FA), GL, and other assigned duties
• Support the monthly close by posting journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and performing ad-hoc financial analysis
• Maintain regular communication and strong relationships with internal teams and/or stakeholders to deliver high-quality service and work product
• Assist with projects and ad-hoc assignments as needed

Requirements

• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Experience with standard accounting/payroll software (examples provided): QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Carta, Brex, Ramp, Rippling, Gusto and others
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Fast learner with curiosity and a desire to learn
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment
• Experience in fast-paced technology or professional services environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience (preferred)

Nice to Have

• Experience implementing workflow automation or AI-enabled tools
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and automation platforms

Logistics

• Work-from-home with location preference in San Francisco/Bay Area, Los Angeles/Southern California, New York City, Austin, or Boston
• Travel for in-person company events: approximately 2–3 weeks per year
• In-person onboarding training within the first 3 months (varies by location)
