Senior Accountant

Role Overview

Senior Accountant to own critical accounting tasks and help scale the accounting and reporting function to support rapid company growth. Enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities across AP, AR, cash management, payroll, fixed assets (FA), GL, and other assigned duties
• Support the monthly close by:
  • Posting monthly journal entries
  • Performing account reconciliations
  • Conducting ad-hoc financial analysis
• Maintain regular contact and build working relationships with internal teams to ensure high-quality customer service and deliverables
• Assist with special projects and ad-hoc assignments as needed

Requirements

• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Fast learner with professional curiosity and strong desire to learn
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience (Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required)
• Experience in a fast-paced technology or professional services environment

Preferred / Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with accounting/finance software such as:
  • QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Carta, Brex/Ramp, Rippling, Gusto (and others listed)
• Experience implementing workflow automation or AI-enabled tools
• Familiarity with generative AI tools and automation platforms

Location / Work Setup

• Work from home with location preference for San Francisco/Bay Area, Los Angeles/Southern California, New York City, Austin, or Boston
• Some travel for in-person company events (approximately 2–3 weeks per year)
• In-person onboarding training within the first 3 months (location varies)
