About the role
Role overview
You will combine IT support with hands-on security operations to keep enterprise systems and user endpoints secure, stable, and efficiently managed. The role also supports the safe adoption of AI tools by identifying and mitigating emerging security risks.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support, resolving technical issues within service-level expectations.
- Manage the full endpoint lifecycle (laptops/desktops/mobile devices/virtual desktops): deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Oversee patch management across endpoints, servers, cloud systems, and VDI environments.
- Conduct and support vulnerability scanning: analyze findings, prioritize remediation, and track issues to resolution.
- Perform identity and access administration: provisioning/deprovisioning and enforcing least-privilege access.
- Support and monitor security tools including endpoint protection, DLP, and email security/threat prevention.
- Maintain accurate asset inventories and visibility into hardware, software, and user access.
- Support onboarding/offboarding to ensure secure user access transitions.
- Assist with AI tool adoption by assessing risks such as data leakage, prompt injection, and unsafe integrations.
Requirements
- 3+ years in IT support, IT operations, or a similar technical support role.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint management, identity and access management, and MDM tools.
- Familiarity with patch management processes; willingness to expand into broader infrastructure.
- Basic understanding of vulnerability scanning and interpreting results in a security context.
- Awareness of workplace AI tools and their security risks.
- Strong communication skills, translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Proactive, self-directed ownership and strong problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Security certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP).
- Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Experience with LLM security concepts.
