About the role
Role Overview
You’ll work as a Container Security Engineer helping migrate and operationalize a Cloud Workload Protection Platform (CWPP), including AquaSec, in multi-cloud environments. The role focuses on implementing container security controls, Kubernetes security, and automating security best practices using cloud-native tooling on Google Kubernetes.
Responsibilities
- Implement and secure industry-leading container technologies and security tooling during CWPP migration.
- Assist with migration, customization, and operationalization of AquaSec to meet security team requirements.
- Develop container security solutions using specialized knowledge of container security and orchestration.
- Protect data across clouds and platforms.
- Employ automation and security best practices in Google Kubernetes.
- Coordinate with architecture, developers, and DevOps to select the right tools and techniques.
- Partner with stakeholders and the cloud security team to deliver appropriate technical solutions.
- Draft security playbooks and support operational security readiness.
Requirements
- Experience with containers, orchestration, and managed Kubernetes services such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
- Experience designing, implementing, and operating container security solutions.
- Experience securing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions / Workflows.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience, including Terraform and Ansible; coding IaC to operationalize controls via APIs.
- Experience with CWPP tools (AquaSec, Prisma Cloud, Wiz, or similar).
- Scripting/automation experience: Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Configuration automation tools: Ansible, SaltStack, or Puppet.
- Solid cybersecurity concepts: threats, vulnerabilities, security operations, encryption, boundary defense, auditing, authentication, and supply chain risk management.
- Knowledge of secure configuration guidelines such as DoD STIGs and CIS benchmarks.
- Familiarity with NIST guidelines for container security.
- Ability to draft security playbooks.

Contract & Location
- Fully remote (Remote, OR).
- Contract position.
- Pay range: $75.00–$80.00/hr.
