Security Engineer

Role Overview

Security Engineer (full-time, remote) at Silverstone Capital Partners. You will design, implement, and maintain security controls across applications, networks, and infrastructure to safeguard confidential data and systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess vulnerabilities, perform security reviews, and monitor security alerts
• Investigate security incidents and collaborate cross-functionally to remediate risks
• Contribute to security architecture and refine security policies and standards
• Support compliance efforts and promote secure development practices
• Document security procedures and participate in security training/awareness initiatives
• Continuously improve the firm’s overall security posture

Requirements

• Strong Security Engineering / Information Security skills, including designing and managing security controls and frameworks
• Network Security / Cybersecurity experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention (IDS/IPS), and security monitoring
• Application Security experience with secure coding practices, code review, and common application vulnerabilities/mitigations
• Beneficial: threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, incident response, and risk analysis
• Experience with security standards/regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC, PCI, or financial-industry guidelines (preferred)
• Proficiency with security tools (e.g., SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners) and cloud security best practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Security/Engineering (or equivalent practical experience)
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and clear written/verbal communication in a remote, cross-functional environment

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or similar
