Security Engineer (Remote)

Role Overview

Joveo AI is hiring a Security Engineer (Remote) to protect its platform, data, and infrastructure from evolving threats. You will embed security across the engineering stack—building systems that are secure by design across application code and cloud configuration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct threat modeling, security reviews, and vulnerability assessments
• Implement and maintain application security controls across backend and frontend systems
• Manage cloud security posture including IAM, network segmentation, and secrets management
• Build and operate security monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities
• Integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., SAST, DAST, dependency scanning)
• Drive security awareness and best practices across engineering teams

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in application and/or cloud security engineering
• Proficiency with security tools: SAST/DAST scanners, WAFs, SIEM platforms
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerability classes
• Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks: SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR
• Ability to clearly communicate security risk to technical and non-technical stakeholders
