Security Engineer (Remote)

Role: Security Engineer (Remote)

You will protect Joveo’s platform, data, and infrastructure against evolving threats by embedding security throughout the engineering stack—from application code to cloud configuration.

Responsibilities

• Perform threat modeling, security reviews, and vulnerability assessments
• Implement and maintain application security controls across backend and frontend systems
• Manage cloud security posture, including:
  • IAM policies
  • Network segmentation
  • Secrets management
• Build and operate security monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities
• Integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., SAST, DAST, dependency scanning)
• Promote security awareness and best practices across engineering teams

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in application and/or cloud security engineering
• Proficiency with security tools such as:
  • SAST/DAST scanners
  • WAFs
  • SIEM platforms
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerability classes
• Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR)
• Ability to clearly communicate security risk to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
