About the role
Security Engineer
Join a security-focused team building decentralized infrastructure that supports massive daily transaction volume. Reporting to the Head of Security, you’ll own a broad scope spanning threat modeling, code review, security research automation, and security operations for on-chain systems.
Responsibilities
- Application Security & Reviews: Perform deep-dive security assessments across the product suite, including:
- White-box code reviews
- Functional testing
- Fuzzing
- Threat modeling
- Identity & Access Management: Own the identity operations lifecycle:
- Provisioning
- Monitoring for anomalous changes
- Managing access for critical systems
- Security Research & Automation: Design and build custom tooling for AI security and adversarial testing, including reusable patterns for agent controls
- Vulnerability Management: Run day-to-day bug bounty operations:
- Triage
- Remediation workflows
- High-priority escalations
- Supply Chain & Compliance: Implement advanced monitoring for software supply chain risk beyond standard scans; coordinate external penetration testing
- Strategic Defense: Manage security documentation and evidence gathering to support evolving compliance needs
Requirements (Must-have)
- Experience: 5+ years total professional experience with a transition into application/product security
- Programming: Strong ability to work with at least one systems/backend language (e.g., Rust, Go, or C++) and build security tooling from scratch
- Domain Expertise: Security lifecycle fluency, especially in Web3/DeFi/cryptocurrency environments
- Security Automation: Experience building security automation and reviewing live production systems
- Communication: Exceptional written communication for technical documentation and collaboration
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-have)
- System Hardening: Linux administration, kernel-level security primitives, and hardening
- Key Management: Multisig schemes, signing policy design, and HSM experience
- Advanced Architecture: Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), confidential computing, secure enclave design
- Infrastructure Management: Enterprise IAM/SSO and Mobile Device Management (MDM)
