Security Engineer

Role Overview

Join a fast-growing global technology environment as a Security Engineer, embedding security across cloud, development, and DevOps workflows. You will build and automate security controls to ensure systems are resilient, compliant, and secure by design for high-scale, globally distributed payment systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain internal security tools and automation to support security operations (using Python)
• Improve cloud security configurations on AWS and GCP (e.g., IAM policies, WAF, Security Hub, SIEM integrations, and related services)
• Implement security controls aligned with PCI DSS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001/27701
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and the software development lifecycle with engineering and DevOps teams
• Support secure adoption of cloud-native and AI-driven architectures
• Enhance incident prevention, detection, and response via monitoring and security engineering initiatives
• Apply security best practices across distributed systems and containerized environments
• Provide technical guidance for cross-functional security initiatives

Requirements

• 4+ years in security engineering or similar technical security roles
• Strong Python skills, including experience building internal security tools/platforms
• Practical experience securing AWS and GCP environments and services
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks: PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001/27701
• Experience securing CI/CD pipelines and integrating security into DevOps workflows
• Ability to collaborate across engineering and infrastructure teams
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)

Nice to Have

• Kubernetes and container security experience
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms and security monitoring tools
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Exposure to serverless, event-driven, or AI-integrated architectures
