About the role

Role Overview

Security Engineer (12-month contract) serving as a leader within an Information Security team. You will implement, configure, tune, and support a suite of security tools and services, and act as a thought leader to help the organization keep pace with emerging threats and cyber security technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, configure, and tune security tools and services
  • Monitor the threat landscape and recommend technologies and controls for emerging risks
  • Integrate security solutions with infrastructure and applications; maintain runbooks
  • Perform health checks, upgrades, and patching; validate detections and coverage
  • Collaborate with IT/Information Services teams to embed security-by-design
  • Document configurations and operational procedures; support audits and compliance
  • Provide knowledge transfer

Requirements

  • Advanced security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, OSCP, or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in a security role
  • 3+ years with security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST, CJIS, HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, and CIS Controls
  • 3+ years with zero-trust, cloud security, and IAM (identity and access management), including endpoint protection and/or network segmentation
  • Experience with identity governance, privileged access management (PAM), and multi-factor authentication (MFA)

Nice-to-Haves

  • Strong thought leadership within the Information Services/IS department
  • Demonstrated ability to validate detections/coverage and support audits and compliance
