Security Engineer

Role: Security Engineer

CYBERR is seeking multiple Security Engineers for positions across leading cybersecurity organizations. Roles are remote with global opportunities, covering Junior to Senior levels and specialties in Cloud, Infrastructure, Network, and Application Security.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security measures to protect networks, systems, and data
• Monitor and respond to security incidents (identify vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, investigate threats)
• Collaborate cross-functionally to build and maintain secure systems, infrastructure, and applications
• Perform security assessments and vulnerability assessments; remediate weaknesses
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices for compliance with frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and GDPR
• Conduct penetration testing to evaluate security defenses and recommend improvements
• Stay current on threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends to proactively defend against emerging risks

Requirements

• Strong experience in network security, systems security, application security, or cloud security
• Proficiency with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, SIEM, and endpoint protection
• Familiarity with penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and incident response

Nice to Have

• Cloud security experience: AWS, Azure, GCP
• Knowledge of standards/frameworks: NIST, ISO 27001, CIS
• Scripting/automation: Python, Bash, PowerShell
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH
