Security Engineer

Role: Security Engineer

AlertMedia is seeking a Security Engineer to support its security and compliance team. You’ll work across engineering, IT, compliance, legal, and customers to implement security controls, strengthen monitoring and detection, and support customer security reviews.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering to implement security controls across the product and infrastructure
• Design, implement, and continuously improve security controls across AWS (infrastructure and application architecture)
• Enhance and tune monitoring and detection for customer security and incident response
• Serve as a subject-matter expert (SME) for the AlertMedia platform
• Lead the technical portion of enterprise customer security reviews and architecture discussions
• Communicate security concepts effectively and act as a point of contact between engineering and customer-facing teams
• Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain security/compliance posture and identify opportunities to advance controls for the platform, infrastructure, and customers

Requirements

• 3+ years in Security, Compliance, or Security Engineering
• Experience supporting SOC 2 and/or ISO audits
• Hands-on experience securing AWS environments including:
  • IAM, VPC, KMS, WAF, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Macie
• Familiarity with Identity and Access Management, encryption standards, and cloud infrastructure/tooling
• Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows
• Experience supporting customer security reviews
• Strong project management, prioritization, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
