Role Overview
Hourly Security Engineer contract role running remote, sprint-based projects in 12–24 hour stretches, with compensation of $85/hour.
Responsibilities
- Complete and evaluate complex security engineering tasks using coding agents
- Review model-generated code and architectures for:
- vulnerabilities and security risks
- implementation flaws
- Identify bugs, edge cases, and security-related failure modes
- Compare outputs from multiple models and assess strengths/weaknesses
- Apply engineering judgment to real-world security engineering scenarios
Requirements
- Strong experience in security engineering
- Strong experience in one or more areas:
- Application Security, Cloud Security, Infrastructure Security
- Vulnerability Management and/or security tooling
- Strong experience using coding agents and developer productivity tools
- Ability to identify flaws in model-generated code and system architectures
- Strong experience securing production systems
