Role Overview

Security Automation Engineer (Python)

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade security automation solutions that enhance security operations.
• Leverage Python, cloud engineering, and security tooling to create scalable integrations, data pipelines, and AI-augmented workflows.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based automation solutions, data pipelines, API integrations, workflow orchestration, and reporting for security and cloud operations.
• Integrate and automate enterprise security platforms (e.g., SAST, DAST, CNAPP/CSPM, SIEM, GRC, ITSM, secrets management, ticketing) via REST APIs.
• Build AI-assisted workflows to automate security finding triage, classification, routing, and reporting.
• Deploy and support cloud-native solutions on AWS using services such as Lambda, ECS/Fargate, S3, IAM, and API Gateway.
• Improve existing automation frameworks through refactoring, testing, documentation, CI/CD enhancements, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to turn security and business requirements into reliable, maintainable software.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional Python development building production-grade applications, automation frameworks, data pipelines, API integrations, and data processing.
• Strong REST API experience, including OAuth/token authentication, pagination, rate limiting, and retry logic.
• Hands-on AWS experience (Lambda, ECS/Fargate, S3, IAM, API Gateway) and knowledge of cloud networking and security best practices.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Git, and GitHub Actions CI/CD, including automated deployments and testing frameworks.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience integrating security/ops platforms such as SIEM/GRC/ITSM and building end-to-end security automation workflows.
• Experience working with JSON/CSV/XML/YAML and related data formats for pipelines and reporting.
