About the role
SecOps Engineer (Remote)
Contract role with remote work.
Responsibilities
- Perform expert-level secure code reviews, with a focus on OWASP Top 10 and CWE vulnerability classes
- Identify, triage, and remediate application-layer vulnerabilities (e.g., broken access control, SQL injection)
- Develop and maintain security automation tools using Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Conduct and document penetration tests, partnering with teams to drive remediation
- Advise development teams on secure coding practices across the software lifecycle
- Monitor emerging threats and apply best practices within customer environments
Requirements
- Strong experience in software engineering or security operations, focused on application-layer security
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, JavaScript, or TypeScript
- Expertise in secure code review and professional penetration testing
- Strong familiarity with OWASP Top 10, CWE, and modern vulnerability classes
- Proven ability to detect, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities in production applications
