About the role

SecOps Engineer (Remote)

Contract role with remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform expert-level secure code reviews, with a focus on OWASP Top 10 and CWE vulnerability classes
  • Identify, triage, and remediate application-layer vulnerabilities (e.g., broken access control, SQL injection)
  • Develop and maintain security automation tools using Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Conduct and document penetration tests, partnering with teams to drive remediation
  • Advise development teams on secure coding practices across the software lifecycle
  • Monitor emerging threats and apply best practices within customer environments

Requirements

  • Strong experience in software engineering or security operations, focused on application-layer security
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, JavaScript, or TypeScript
  • Expertise in secure code review and professional penetration testing
  • Strong familiarity with OWASP Top 10, CWE, and modern vulnerability classes
  • Proven ability to detect, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities in production applications
