SDET [Remote-US]

Role: SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Quanata is seeking an accomplished SDET to build end-to-end quality for modern insurance solutions, focusing on automated testing for API components and data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Follow Agile/Scrum practices and participate in scrum meetings and software quality audits across the SDLC.
• Create tests, test large modules/components, and design test coverage for features or feature areas.
• Analyze business requirements by reviewing Project Design Documents and Business Requirement Documents.
• Build scalable automated test frameworks and scripts using Python, Pytest, and BDD-style frameworks.
• Execute integration, regression, and performance testing using industry-standard tools.
• Research and evaluate new/better automated testing tools.
• Use TestRail (or equivalent) to manage test suites, automation results, and test failure analysis.
• Collaborate across teams to drive quality initiatives and lead technical quality discussions.
• Design end-to-end test scenarios even with limited or vague information; mentor other quality engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant SDET/testing experience.
• Experience with Data Platforms, Machine Learning, and APIs.
• Ability to integrate testing artifacts with CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have / Bonus

• P&C Insurance domain knowledge.
• Linux, SQL/PostgreSQL, and shell scripting.
• AWS, DevOps, and AI exposure.

Compensation

• $156,000 – $209,000 (annual). Final offer depends on skills, experience, and internal salary structure.
