About the role
Role: SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)
Quanata is seeking an accomplished SDET to build end-to-end quality for modern insurance solutions, focusing on automated testing for API components and data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Follow Agile/Scrum practices and participate in scrum meetings and software quality audits across the SDLC.
- Create tests, test large modules/components, and design test coverage for features or feature areas.
- Analyze business requirements by reviewing Project Design Documents and Business Requirement Documents.
- Build scalable automated test frameworks and scripts using Python, Pytest, and BDD-style frameworks.
- Execute integration, regression, and performance testing using industry-standard tools.
- Research and evaluate new/better automated testing tools.
- Use TestRail (or equivalent) to manage test suites, automation results, and test failure analysis.
- Collaborate across teams to drive quality initiatives and lead technical quality discussions.
- Design end-to-end test scenarios even with limited or vague information; mentor other quality engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 3–5 years of relevant SDET/testing experience.
- Experience with Data Platforms, Machine Learning, and APIs.
- Ability to integrate testing artifacts with CI/CD pipelines.
Nice to have / Bonus
- P&C Insurance domain knowledge.
- Linux, SQL/PostgreSQL, and shell scripting.
- AWS, DevOps, and AI exposure.
Compensation
- $156,000 – $209,000 (annual). Final offer depends on skills, experience, and internal salary structure.
