Role: SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Overview

Quanata is seeking an accomplished, well-rounded SDET to build robust automated test frameworks for API components and data platforms. You’ll work with an experienced SDET team to improve software quality end to end while collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

• Follow Agile practices, participate in scrum meetings, and perform software quality audits across the SDLC.
• Create and design tests for large modules/components and feature areas.
• Analyze business requirements using Project Design Documents and Business Requirement Documents.
• Build scalable, robust test automation frameworks and scripts using Python, Pytest, BDD frameworks, and PyCharm.
• Execute integration, regression, and performance testing with industry-standard tools.
• Research and evaluate new or improved automated testing tools.
• Use TestRail (or equivalent) to maintain test suites, manage automation results, and analyze test failures.
• Work independently and collaborate across teams to drive quality initiatives and lead software quality discussions.
• Design end-to-end test scenarios even with limited or vague requirements; mentor other quality engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent relevant experience) and 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience testing data platforms, machine learning, and APIs.
• Experience integrating test artifacts into a CI/CD pipeline.

• P&C Insurance domain knowledge.
• Linux, SQL/PostgreSQL, and shell scripting.
• AWS, DevOps, and AI exposure.

Compensation

• $156,000–$209,000 (final offer based on skills/experience and internal salary structure).
