Role Overview

SDET II for tvScientific’s Web Platform with strong expertise in web and API testing. The role balances high-quality manual testing with automation to validate end-to-end user flows across the frontend, backend services, and APIs.

What You’ll Do

• Own and drive quality for web platform features across UI, APIs, and backend services
• Design and execute manual test cases and exploratory testing for complex web and API workflows
• Perform thorough regression testing after bug fixes
• Build and maintain automated test suites for:
  • Frontend–backend integration validation (data consistency, error handling)
  • API contract testing, schema validation, and negative/edge-case testing
• Collaborate with frontend/backend engineers, product managers, and designers during design, implementation, and code reviews to improve testability and catch issues early
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable feedback
• Analyze test failures, investigate root causes, and drive issue resolution
• Advocate for quality best practices such as shift-left testing, risk-based testing, and an automation strategy
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering or equivalent experience
• 2+ years in QA/Quality Engineering with a strong focus on web platforms and APIs
• Proven hands-on experience with manual testing of complex consumer-facing web apps
• Strong experience building and maintaining API tests using tools such as Postman, REST-assured, Supertest, or similar
• Hands-on web automation experience with Playwright or Cypress
• Solid understanding of HTTP and REST/API design
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language: JavaScript or TypeScript
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills
• High-trust cross-functional collaboration
• Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve work
