About the role

Role Overview

SDET Engineer (100% Remote, U.S.) to design, build, and continuously improve test automation frameworks. You will write production-quality test code and partner with development teams to embed quality engineering throughout the SDLC.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain automation frameworks for continuous improvement
Write production-quality test code (unit, integration, end-to-end)
Implement and scale testing across APIs and modern distributed systems
Collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to clarify ambiguous requirements
Raise the engineering bar through code review, design review, and mentorship

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
6+ years of experience (SDET or test-focused software engineering)
Strong programming in at least one of: Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
Hands-on UI automation experience with one of: Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
Experience automating REST and/or gRPC APIs
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for test automation
Solid SQL skills and database validation experience
Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and modern web architectures
Excellent debugging, communication, and documentation skills
Agile/Scrum experience

Preferred Qualifications

Contract testing tools: Pact, Spring Cloud Contract
Performance testing with JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust
Security testing tools: OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Snyk
Chaos engineering/resilience testing exposure
ISTQB (or equivalent QA) certification
