SDET Engineer

Role Overview

Bright Vision Technologies is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to design, build, and continuously improve test automation frameworks. You’ll write production-quality automated tests and work with development teams to embed quality engineering throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust, scalable test automation frameworks for web, APIs, mobile, and microservices
• Write production-quality automated test code in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# using testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, and Pact
• Implement contract testing (e.g., Pact) to validate service contracts in microservice ecosystems
• Develop CI/CD test pipelines integrated with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
• Create performance test suites (e.g., JMeter) and support security testing approaches
• Partner with cross-functional teams (product, design, engineering, operations, and business) to turn ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions
• Raise quality standards through code reviews, design reviews, and mentoring of more junior engineers

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an SDET / test automation engineer
• Strong software engineering fundamentals paired with deep knowledge of test strategy across:
  • Unit, integration, end-to-end
  • Performance and security testing
• Ability to translate requirements into maintainable automation and ship work that performs well in production
• Must be able to complete a mandatory technical coding assessment

Nice-to-Haves

• Hands-on experience with distributed systems and modern testing toolchains
• Experience with microservices and contract testing

Logistics / Employment

• 100% remote (Continental United States)
• Full-time, direct W2 (in-house Statement of Work/SOW engagement; no third-party vendors or C2C/1099)
