Role Overview

SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) responsible for ensuring high-quality, stable software is delivered to clients within a software development scrum team. You will contribute to quality processes and test automation frameworks, spanning the full technology stack.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated test suites for UI, API, microservices, and databases.
• Optimize and stabilize automated test suites over time.
• Contribute to the test automation framework, enhancements, and evaluation of test tooling.
• Apply software engineering best practices across the SDLC, including:
  • coding standards, code reviews
  • source control
  • build/release processes
  • continuous deployment and integration into testing
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing/deployment.
• Run functional and regression tests, analyze results, and report/track defects to closure.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (grooming, planning, demos) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and architecture.
• Design and document test cases and establish requirements traceability.
• Understand release/deployment cycles and ensure quality gates are met.
• Act as a quality SME; provide guidance to other SDETs/associates and lead maintenance of:
  • test environments
  • test data creation aligned with staging/production configurations.

Requirements

• Proficient in object-oriented programming and data structures in one or more languages such as C#, Java, Python, JavaScript (or similar).
• Familiar with Shell scripting.

• Ability to work on feature tickets independently (potentially as the sole SDET on a team).
• Experience across a full stack testing scope (UI/API/microservices/database) and CI/CD-based quality gates.
