Scrum Master

Role Overview

Mid-level Onshore Scrum Master for a team supporting Agile delivery in Draper, Utah (3 days/week in office). You will facilitate Scrum events, coach Agile practices, and coordinate execution between onshore business stakeholders and offshore delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Agile Facilitation:
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Ensure Scrum practices are followed and continuously improved
  • Coach team members on Agile principles and mindset
• Team Enablement:
  • Identify and remove blockers impacting team productivity
  • Foster a collaborative, self-organizing team environment
  • Track sprint progress and ensure commitments are met
• Stakeholder Communication (Onshore Focus):
  • Bridge business stakeholders and offshore delivery teams
  • Provide regular updates on sprint progress, risks, and dependencies
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and align priorities
• Delivery & Metrics:
  • Monitor Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, and cycle time
  • Drive continuous improvement using data and retrospectives
  • Support release planning and backlog refinement
• Risk & Dependency Management:
  • Identify risks early and coordinate mitigation
  • Manage cross-team dependencies, especially in a distributed environment

Required Qualifications

• 6–8 years overall IT experience
• 4+ years as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator
• Experience working with distributed/onshore-offshore teams
• Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile frameworks
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution
• Ability to coach teams and influence without authority

Tools & Technologies

• Agile tools such as Rally (preferred), Jira, or Azure DevOps
• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

Nice to Have

• SAFe experience
• AI in SDLC fundamentals
