Scrum Master

Role Overview

The Scrum Master coordinates cross-functional Agile teams to improve technology solutions and streamline processes. You will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, remove delivery obstacles, and provide progress reporting to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum events: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and problem-solving sessions
• Support delivery by removing impediments and identifying blockers for team members
• Enable Agile ways of working using Agile practices to help teams perform at a high level
  • user stories, retrospectives, story mapping
  • ATDD and TDD, continuous integration, pairing, information radiators
• Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain and refine product backlogs, prioritize features, and maximize business value and customer satisfaction
• Ensure adherence to Scrum principles and participate in Agile events to drive project success
• Provide stakeholder updates on progress, including timely reporting of risks, dependencies, and delivery evolution
• Act as a liaison between the development team and internal departments to maintain alignment of goals
• Work with Agile Leaders to improve the effectiveness of applications within the organization
• Follow risk and regulatory standards, including company information security policies and standards

Requirements

• 3+ years of IT and/or systems experience
• Project management experience required
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Team-oriented, hands-on approach
• Ability to manage multiple, rapidly changing, high-visibility priorities

Nice to Have

• SQL familiarity
• Experience with insurance or sales applications and workflows
