About the role
Role Overview
The Scrum Master supports one or more Agile software teams by facilitating delivery, removing impediments, and driving continuous improvement. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and key stakeholders to ensure effective execution and transparency.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies and ensure effective team participation
- Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile principles and self-organization
- Remove impediments, escalate risks, and improve team flow
- Partner with Product Owners to maintain and support a prioritized backlog
- Use metrics such as velocity, throughput, and burndown to drive improvement
- Foster a collaborative and transparent team environment
- Coordinate dependencies and cross-team alignment
- Support Agile best practices including DoR/DoD, estimation, and story slicing
- Maintain Agile artifacts in tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- Mentor teams toward Agile maturity
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years as a Scrum Master supporting software teams
- Scrum certification (CSM, PSM I+); advanced preferred
- Strong knowledge of Scrum, Agile, Kanban, and XP
- Strong facilitation and conflict-resolution skills
- Experience with Agile tools: Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence
- Strong communication skills and a track record of process improvement
- Experience with distributed teams preferred
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools is a plus

Location / Work Environment
- Based in the United States
- May require 40+ hours/week, periodic travel for business needs, and standard office work with computer-based activities.
