About the role

Role Overview

Trilogy Innovations is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to support a federal customer on a fully remote basis. You will help lead Agile execution and drive continuous improvement while enabling delivery of enterprise modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

Deliver projects/products using appropriate Agile project management methods and continuous learning/iteration
Partner with the Product Manager to define roadmap direction and translate priorities into user stories
Lead collaborative planning and prioritize work based on team capacity and capability
Matrix-manage a multi-disciplinary team
Ensure products meet the appropriate quality level for each stage (alpha/beta/production)
Share knowledge of Agile best practices and elevate team performance over time
Identify and resolve risks, blockers, and dependencies early to minimize delivery disruption
Operate effectively in a federal, compliance-driven environment

Example Delivery Areas

Migrate mainframe functionality to a cloud environment (AWS GovCloud)
Add modern name search capabilities
Enhance image handling (larger files; support additional formats such as PDF)
Transition investigative search to Elasticsearch for faster response/report creation
Build new services using microservices architecture, containerized and run on OpenShift
Transition database functionality from IBM DB2 to an appropriate cloud data store
Update NIEM schemas and IEPDs and support retirement of dot-delimited message formats

Predictable sprint/release delivery with consistent velocity
Measurable progress toward system modernization and mission outcomes
Agile teams show clarity, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Early risk/blocker/dependency management
High stakeholder confidence and Agile maturity (backlog health, sprint quality, retros)

Requirements

Active Secret Security Clearance
Experienced Scrum Master who can lead teams through complexity and deliver results
Strong communication with both technical teams and business stakeholders
Ability to balance Agile discipline with practical execution and keep work moving

Nice-to-Haves

Experience working in federal/compliance-driven environments and mission-critical programs
Familiarity with modernization efforts involving cloud migration, search, microservices, and container platforms
