About the role
Role Overview
Cotiviti Retail is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead and support Agile delivery across Retail development teams and initiatives. You will partner with Product Owners, developers, and senior stakeholders to remove impediments, facilitate Scrum practices, and drive consistent, high-quality delivery at scale.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives; ensure effective execution and active participation.
- Coach and mentor teams: help teams apply SAFe principles and practices; identify and resolve impediments affecting productivity.
- Enable collaboration and communication: promote cross-team and stakeholder communication; encourage visual boards and transparency tools.
- Support Product Owners: assist with creating and prioritizing the product backlog; ensure backlog items are well-defined, estimated, and ready for development.
- Drive continuous improvement: run retrospectives, gather feedback, and implement action items to improve Agile efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support self-organization: empower teams with autonomy and ownership; help Scrum teams become high-performing.
- Ensure SAFe compliance: maintain SAFe practices and standards across the organization (in collaboration with other Scrum Masters and Agile coaches).
- Complete annual performance/goal responsibilities and other assigned projects/duties.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Business, Project Management, or similar field (or equivalent experience).
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or plans to become certified.
- Strong knowledge of SAFe framework and Agile methodologies.
- SAFe certification such as SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM), or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC).
- 5+ years leading Agile Scrum teams or enterprise-level project management.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and leadership/coaching skills.
Nice to Have / Additional Notes
- Background in enterprise Agile delivery and working with multiple teams under SAFe.
