About the role

Role Overview

Scrum Master for an advanced autonomous/autopilot software development program. You will work closely with Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Program Management to drive Agile execution, coordinate releases, manage project tracking, and support successful delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Agile ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Coordinate sprint execution and ensure timely software releases
  • Partner with Software IPT Leads, Program Managers, Software Architects, and Systems Engineers to plan and prioritize work
  • Create and maintain Jira epics, stories, tasks, defects, and workflows
  • Support release planning, roadmap execution, and sprint forecasting
  • Track progress, risks, dependencies, blockers, and key milestones
  • Manage software defects and facilitate cross-functional issue resolution
  • Maintain DO-178 requirements traceability from requirements through implementation, verification, and testing
  • Produce project metrics, dashboards, and executive status reports
  • Drive continuous improvement across Agile delivery practices

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Scrum Master experience supporting professional software development teams
  • Deep knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Advanced proficiency with Jira
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • Hands-on familiarity with DO-178 software development and certification processes, including requirements traceability, verification, and testing
  • Experience coordinating work across software architects, systems engineers, developers, and QA teams
  • Strong communication, facilitation, project tracking, and stakeholder management skills

  • Simi Valley, CA (local candidates preferred; remote considered)
