Role Overview

Scrum Master to lead one or more Agile/Scrum teams and ensure delivery against schedules and quality expectations.

Responsibilities

Act as Scrum Master and run one or more Scrum teams.
Prepare integrated roadmaps and project schedules for upcoming priorities.
Support systems development lifecycle activities (analysis, requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation).
Assist with requirements and prioritization (elicitation, analysis, design, testing, implementation) in a data environment.
Participate in strategic planning and evaluate/recommend technical solutions.
Diagnose workflow/organization/technology problems and drive corrective actions.
Serve as SME for business requirements, Scrum processes, user needs, and delivered value.
Determine whether issues are defects or expected behavior.
Coach on writing Scrum artifacts: epics, user stories, tasks, spikes, bugs, and acceptance criteria.
Assist the Product Owner (PO) in creating strong user stories; review/edit user stories and acceptance criteria when needed.
Own and help maintain the Definition of Done.
Collaborate with developers and test engineers to align on acceptance criteria.
Support story prioritization ownership (PO sets priorities; ensure the story list is accurate with BA support).
Ensure the team meets deadlines set by Office of Information Technology (OIT).
Act as a gatekeeper of quality by ensuring requirements are testable and edge cases are addressed.
Lead and model checks that stories meet Acceptance Criteria and the Definition of Done.
Conduct all Agile Scrum ceremonies.

Requirements / Qualifications

Ability to lead Scrum ceremonies and manage Scrum execution across one or more teams.
Strong expertise in Scrum artifacts, acceptance criteria, and Definition of Done.
Ability to align stakeholders (PO, BA, developers, testers) on requirements and acceptance criteria.

Nice-to-Haves

Familiarity with JIRA and writing/editing user stories and acceptance criteria within Scrum.
Experience operating in a data environment and supporting end-to-end SDLC activities.
