About the role

Role Overview

Pinnacle Method Consulting is seeking a certified Scrum Master to facilitate and guide cross-functional software development teams. You will champion Agile principles, help the team self-organize, improve delivery predictability, and continuously remove impediments to protect sprint focus.

Responsibilities

Team Facilitation & Agile Coaching
- Facilitate core Scrum ceremonies: Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Sprint Retrospectives
- Coach teams on Agile values, Scrum practices, and self-organization
- Identify, track, and remove blockers/impediments
- Shield the team from external distractions to maintain sprint goals
Product Owner & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Product Owners to keep the backlog healthy, refined, and prioritized
- Support definition of user stories, acceptance criteria, and release planning
- Bridge communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
Metrics, Delivery & Continuous Improvement
- Track and communicate team metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down/burn-up, cumulative flow)
- Run data-driven retro sessions to drive continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate project management hygiene in tools such as Jira and Confluence

Requirements

Scrum Certification (required): first-level Scrum Master certification such as CSM (Scrum Alliance) or PSM I (Scrum.org)
Education: Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or related) or equivalent experience
Experience: 3–5+ years as a dedicated Scrum Master for software/engineering teams
Strong understanding of the SDLC and Agile delivery in modern application environments
Expert-level Jira and Confluence experience (Agile project management tool configuration)

Nice-to-Haves

Advanced Scrum/Agile certifications (e.g., A-CSM, PSM II, PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master)
Experience with Pega
Knowledge of other frameworks such as Kanban or SAFe
Background as a software developer, QA engineer, or business analyst
